Jul 2016 | We’re Kick-starting Chameleon Youth: Help us raise £3000!

Today sees the launch of a four-week crowdfunding campaign to kick-start Chameleon Youth in its first ever year and you can help!

Chameleon Youth, presents an incredible opportunity for young people, age 11 to 18, to learn from the workings of a professional dance company and develop as a young dance artist. Regular classes for Chameleon Youth get underway in September, to support the development of the next generation of dance artists in Manchester.

Funds raised through the campaign will go towards; kitting-out the young people, hiring rehearsal space at Manchester Central Library and bringing in guest choreographers to create Chameleon Youth’s first outdoor production, a brand new dance piece, which will premiere in an open space in Manchester City Centre (location to be announced: watch this space). This amazing performance opportunity will bring together the whole community to celebrate young dance talent in #OurManchester.

There are a number of exclusive gifts available to donors as a massive thank you for supporting Chameleon Youth. These include; Company Chameleon merchandise, a special guest invite to a drinks reception and exclusive sharing of our new production Witness, and the opportunity to win a commissioned one-off original artwork by Sam Simpson, our Artist-in-Residence this summer.
