Aug 2016 | World Premiere & Autumn Tour Announced For ‘Witness’

We are delighted to announce that our new production, Witness, will tour the UK this Autumn.

The world premiere will take place on Weds 19 Oct at The House at Plymouth University. We then tour the work to Studio B, Falmouth University (Fri 21 Oct); The Arts Centre, Edge Hill University (Tues 25 Oct); Mumford Theatre, Cambridge (Weds 2 Nov) and Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal (Sat 12 Nov), before heading home to Manchester for two nights at The Lowry, Salford Quays (Tues 29 & Weds 30 Nov).

Witness, the main piece in this double-bill, turns the spotlight on mental health in a sensitive portrayal of how loved ones cope, when mental health problems take hold of someone close.

Raw and insightful, Witness breaks down preconceptions by uncovering the realities of an illness, which is too often misunderstood.

Intimate solos, emotive duets and group work combine to reveal the impact of mental health on individuals and relationships, along with the crucial role of support and understanding in the road to recovery.

A melting pot of dance styles and a rich mix of movement techniques, Witness presents a totally original view on the different layers of mental health problems, delving deep into an issue which effects one in four of us each year.

Touching, sad, funny and absurd, this is relevant and up-to-the-minute dance theatre at its best.

Words Unspoken, a short dynamic work opens the production. Exploring the untold secrets of the performers on stage. Five dancers perform flawlessly formed movements in a striking and synchronized style. The effect is hypnotic and provides the perfect opener to this captivating double bill.

Tickets are on sale now! Check out the Tour Dates page for a full list of performances, tour venues and booking information.
