Company Chameleon is delighted to announce a second UK Tour of our latest new production, Witness. We’re excited to be touring the double-bill to five UK venues this Spring:
Pavilion Dance South West, Bournemouth (Thurs 9 Mar)
Laban Theatre, London (Thurs 16 & Fri 17 Mar)
Stanley & Audrey Burton Theatre, Northern Ballet, Leeds (Thurs 23 March)
DanceEast, Ipswich (Fri 12 May)
Déda, Derby (Thurs 18 May)
Choreographed by Co-Artistic Director, Kevin Edward Turner, the main piece in Witness draws from Kevin’s own experience of Bipolar disorder. The result is a powerful and original view of mental health issues through dance and movement.
Performed by a cast of seven dancers, the piece tells a moving story of how loved ones cope, when mental health problems take hold of someone close.
For a taster of the piece, watch the latest trailer:
Audiences can also look forward to Words Unspoken in the new double-bill, a dynamic short work, which opens the show. First created on Spanish dance company, LaMov, the piece mixes Chameleon’s highly physical style with more traditional balletic moves, demonstrating Chameleon’s versatility and talent for combining contrasting dance techniques in their choreography.
Whilst touring Witness in the Autumn, we asked people in the audience how they would describe the show in three words. This is what they said…
