Before Night Fell is an exploration of male identity, friendship, camaraderie and bravery. As the second in a trilogy of works investigating aspects of masculinity and maleness, Before Night Fell follows '13', Cassani’s award winning work made with her two sons.
Scribe is an improvisation, following a score of up to 10 pre-selected words, selected by Missen & Turner or by the audience prior to the performance.
Baka is a work about the history and lineage of the diaspora that both Turner and Missen belong, both being of mixed heritage. The social issues pertaining to their life experience, identity and this heritage are potent themes in this work.
